The show has already seen cameos from a host of comedians including Harry Enfield, Chris Addison and Ronni Ancona - but Kelly Brook will be hoping her appearance on Skins this week doens't raise a titter.

The 31-year-old model-turned-actress is desperate to build her acting career after starring in Hollywood schlock horror Piranha: 3D last year and will be hoping her guest role on the controversial show will help.

But it doesn't look like her cameo as a Lycra-clad fitness instructor on the teen drama is going to, ahem, stretch her talents much.

Kelly's character arrives on the show clad in shiny legging as character Mini's gym teacher, Jemima.

Kelly explains: 'She is Mini’s (Freya Mavor) idol, teaching her how to lose weight, how to be fit and be a goddess.

'Freya was so professional, looked so beautiful on camera and she has some fantastic scenes and I think people are really going to enjoy this series.'

The U.S. version of Skins is currently causing ructions in the States after just a few weeks on air.

Officials at a leading U.S. family organisation last week called for federal agents to investigate the show for using underage actors and actresses in sex scenes.

The Parents Television Council called the scenes 'child pornography.'
